Sappada history

esterno-inverno

Sappada rises 1250 m high, crossed by a river named Piave that has its source few kilometers northwards. It lies in a gentle sunny dell among woods and peaks: the Dolomites. It is divided into 14 hamlets; here villagers still speak a Bavarian-Tyrolean dialect. Sappada founders, in fact, came from Gailtal (Austria) at the beginning of the second millennium. Sappada offers several kind of leisure: in winter you can enjoy ski slopers with different difficulties and ice skating rinks. Typical Alpine huts offer a charming and unforgettable landscape. In summertime you can have walks among nature, make excursions, practice many sports such as tennis, volley-ball, easy fishing and also folk events. All these wonders will make you want to come back here again!
